Injured in a DUI Crash? Demand Criminal Restitution
Victims of DUI accidents often don't realize there are two paths of financial recovery that they can pursue. The victim or his or her family can make a claim against the drunk driver's auto insurance policy and can make a restitution claim in the criminal arena. Making a restitution claim means that the drunk driver will have to pay money out of his or her own pocket. The injury victim can effectively collect twice.
