Pacific Coast Highway was shut down Friday evening in both directions following a multi-vehicle crash.
According to Santa Monica Police Department officials, the accident happened about 7:30 p.m. on PCH near the McClure Tunnel. Vehicles headed westbound on the 10 freeway were diverted off the freeway at 4th Street.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation. It was not immediately known whether anyone was injured in the accident.
