Two people were injured in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu today.
The accident happened at 2:50 p.m. on PCH at Las Flores Rd. A van traveling westbound on Pacific Coast Highway was attempting to turn left at Las Flores Rd. The van slammed into a Lexus that was traveling eastbound on PCH. The accident happened in front of Duke's Restaurant.
There were eight occupants in the van. A female passenger in the van was transported to Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center for a broken wrist. The driver of the Lexus, a female, was also injured and transported to Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center.
It was not immediately known whether any of the other seven occupants in the van were injured. There were no passengers in the Lexus. Both vehicles' airbags deployed.
According to investigators from the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station, the drivers and their passengers gave conflicting accounts of how the accident happened.
