A big rig crash on the Antelope Valley Freeway on Saturday left one person dead and one injured.
The accident happened just before 11:30 a.m. on the northbound 14 freeway at Aqua Dulce Canyon Rd.
A big rig struck a car that was parked on the side of the freeway. That collision caused the car to hit two people who were standing on the side of the freeway.
The two people were transported by a helicopter to a local hospital. One was pronounced dead, the condition of the other is unknown at this time.
After the semi truck struck the two people, it kept going. A witness followed the truck, and CHP eventually stopped the truck. It is unknown at this time if the truck's driver knew that he had struck anything.
